New England Excess Exchange is pleased to host the Vermont Association of Insurance Professionals February Dinner Meeting to be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019. The topic of the dinner presentation will be Grow with cannabis. Liabilities and legalities of running a dispensary. 

SLynn 1The speaker for this presentation will be Shayne Lynn, Executive Director of the Champlain Valley Dispensary & Southern Vermont Wellness and Chief Executive Officer of High Fidelity Inc. He has successfully worked to advance medical cannabis in Vermont through lobbying and advocating for industry best practices. Shayne has been instrumental in formulating and executing the growth strategy for all of the Company’s operations. Under his leadership, Champlain Valley Dispensary’s management team has opened four dispensaries and three Ceres Natural Remedies stores throughout VT.

In January 2019 HFI acquired the Vermont company Tretap. Tretap produces organic sparkling water made from Vermont maple trees. Shayne also provides consulting services through Ceres Project Management, LLC which has been successful in preparing applications and providing cannabis consulting in neighboring states.

Originally from Newfane, VT, Shayne graduated from the University of Vermont and State Agricultural College with a BA in Political Science. He has participated in the VT Department of Health’s, Health Impact Assessment on Marijuana Regulation in VT, and was a member of the New Hampshire Therapeutic Cannabis Evaluation Team.
